Paint.NET MegaLo Filetype Plugin Pack

The Paint.NET community is always buzzing with creative projects, and today we're excited to introduce the Paint.NET MegaLo Filetype Plugin Pack. This plugin pack is a culmination of my personal project that aimed to get more familiar with Visual Studio and the plugin template. Although it may not be used extensively, I thought it was a cool idea to share with the community.

One of the major improvements in this plugin pack is its performance. In my testing, rendering time decreased significantly from 5.17 seconds to just 300 milliseconds for a 1024x768 image. This boost in speed allows you to work more efficiently and quickly render your images.

The user interface has also been improved, giving it a sleek and modern look that aligns with the IndirectUI update for Paint.NET 3.30. Even though none of my plugins are property-based (I should explore this feature further), I thought this plugin would benefit from the new design.

This plugin pack started as a CodeLab script but evolved into a full-fledged plugin using the Paint.NET plugin template. It includes features like flipping and the ability to flip every second image to align edges, along with an offset control for customizing which images get flipped.

For those who are new to plugins, this package includes three files that you can extract and place in your Paint.NET/Effects folder. This is a beta release for 3.5.4, so please post any bugs or issues in the thread below.

The plugin also introduces color sliders and wheels with additional features inspired by Ed Harvey's controls. These new controls allow for more precise adjustments to colors and saturation levels. Holding shift while adjusting the sliders will clamp the value to the nearest increment (e.g., increments of 5 for Red, Green, Blue, Alpha, and Hue).

For the Color Wheel, there are six combinations of Control, Alt, and Shift keys that produce different results. These combinations are similar to Ed Harvey's controls but with additional features.

Finally, I'm excited to announce an updated plugin pack that includes all plugins with UI and compatibility updates. A new plugin has also been added to this package. Whether you're a seasoned Paint.NET user or just starting out, this plugin pack is sure to bring some exciting new features to your workflow.

Installation Instructions

To install the plugins, extract the three files (Tile Image, Color Sliders, and Color Wheel) from the zip file and place them in your Paint.NET/Effects folder. Make sure to use the correct version for your Paint.NET installation (3.5.4 beta).
